If your accelerator pedal wobbles at the base, chances are the hinge is rusted under the rubber cover. There's really no other "legitimate" cure than a new pedal (we've seen plenty of "illegitimate" cures). Just fix it right. Make sure you spray some good penetrating oil on the two 10mm bolts at the base of the pedal before you place your order.
